ARRIVALS

All attendees, including chapter presidents, alumnae, collegians, and International Officers should plan to arrive Wednesday, June 17 before 5 p.m. PDT. The first official event of Grand Convention is the Welcome Party beginning at 7:30 p.m. PDT. Alumnae who are attending their first Grand Convention will be invited to a reception at 6:45 p.m.

DEPARTURES

All departures should be planned for Sunday, June 21. There will be no programming on Sunday.

REAL ID UPDATES

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced an official enforcement deadline for Real ID compliance. Effective May 7, 2025, all air travelers in the US will be expected to show a state-issued driver’s license – or other form of identification – meeting Real ID requirements in order to pass through airport security checkpoints. That goes for both domestic and international flights.  

Not sure if your ID (or your travelers’ IDs) will work?  

All Real ID compliant forms of identification are clearly marked with a star (or flag) in the top corner. Be sure to make any necessary updates within the next few months to avoid travel disruptions.

FLIGHTS

The closest airport to the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa is Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) located approximately 10 miles from the resort. Travel time from the airport to the property is typically 30 minutes by car or rideshare, depending on traffic. This airport offers service from several major airlines and is the recommended airport for attendees traveling to the Grand Convention.

For attendees who may need additional flight options, the following airports are also within driving distance:

• Ontario International Airport (ONT) - approximately 75 miles from the resort (about 1.5 hours by car)
• John Wayne Airport - approximately 100 miles from the resort (about 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours by car)
• Los Angeles International Airport - approximately 120 miles from the resort (about 2-2.5 hours by car)

Please be mindful that Chapter Presidents and International Officers should choose the most economical option to get to Palm Desert as stated in Alpha Delta Pi's Travel and Expense Policy.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Ground transportation options from the airport include rental cars, rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft, and local taxi services. Attendees are encouraged to arrange transportation in advance based on their arrival airport.

If you plan to drive to the Palm Desert, the daily parking rate at the hotel property is $29.00/day

 

BOOKING YOUR STAY?

Attendees must book their hotel rooms through the JW Marriott Dessert Springs Resort & Spa. Booking through our group link will give you access to our room block and discounted rate, $189/night per room inclusive of taxes and fees. Please secure your discounted rate and book your hotel room by May 24! After that date we cannot confirm that you will receive the discounted rate for your hotel stay.

Please note that Chapter Advisors and collegians are not permitted to room together.

You will receive the link to book your room once you have successfully registered for the event. 

Executive Office will book hotel rooms for:

• International Officers
• Past Grand Council members
• Foundation Trustees
• ADPi Properties Board members

If you do not belong to one of these groups, you will book directly through the hotel.
