The report of the Nominating Committee regarding candidates who will stand for election to Grand Council at this Convention will be sent by email to all eligible voting delegates and then uploaded to Pride Online.
All voting delegates should complete the Grand Convention voting delegate training prior to arrival. Look for this in our new learning platform, Loyally Learning. Additional details coming soon!
VOTING DELEGATE INFORMATION
The Bylaws of Alpha Delta Pi state that voting delegates are entitled to vote at Grand Conventions on proposed amendments to the Bylaws, proposed Resolutions, elections of Grand Council officers, and other business that comes before the Grand Convention body.
Voting delegates include:
- Chapter President (or another approved chapter member if the chapter president is unable to attend Convention)
- Chapter Advisory Board Delegate
- Alumnae Association Delegate (each Alumnae Association can designate one delegate to vote on behalf of the Alumnae Association)
- House Corporation Board Delegate (each House Corporation Board can designate one delegate to vote on behalf of the House Corporation Board)
- Grand Council Members
- Past Grand Council Members
- International Officers
- Standing Committee Members
Please note: The registration website will confirm a voting delegate’s eligibility to vote on behalf of a particular entity based on the individual’s position as listed within the Alpha Delta Pi database. For this reason, your position title needs to be current in Pi Portal before attempting to register. Each entity is allowed only one vote, so it is important to communicate as a chapter/board before beginning the registration process to ensure only one person attempts to register as the voting delegate on behalf of each chapter/board.
If a chapter president is unable to attend Grand Convention, an alternate voting delegate must be approved by the chapter’s Collegiate Province Director before the delegate begins the registration process. Once approved, the Collegiate Province Director should email Greer Collins, Assistant Director of Meetings and Programs with the name of the chapter and their approved voting delegate.
Collegiate chapters, chapter advisory boards, house corporation boards, and alumnae associations may select and register one or more alternate delegates to attend Grand Convention. Alternate delegates will be credentialed through the credentialing process. Questions about the voting delegate/credentialing process may be directed to the Convention Marshal – Jen Dickinson, Senior Director of Membership Engagement.
Additional collegiate members, chapter advisors, alumnae association members, or house corporation members are welcome and encouraged to attend Grand Convention as non-voting delegates. Note: Per the process launched in 2019, notarized affidavits are no longer required for voting delegates as they have been in the past.
All fees and balances owed to Executive Office must be paid in full for an individual to vote on behalf of an entity.
